FAQ's

When will my bin be cleaned?
On the day after your refuse collection. We clean the following day so we can plan our routes more efficiently, and virtually guarantee that your bin will be empty when we arrive so we can clean it!

So can I take in my bins on bin day?
By all means bring your bins in from the boundary, but if you could leave them where we can see them and we will relocate them for you afterwards.

Can I put rubbish in the bin after it has been emptied, but before you clean it?
We would ask that you do not put any rubbish in the bin before we clean it.

What do I do with my garden waste if I have grass etc the day before you come?
Quite simply place your garden waste in a garden sack or bin liner, we will come and clean the bin and then you can tip the garden refuse from the bag into the bin.

I get my bin emptied on a Friday does this mean my bin is cleaned on a Saturday?
Yes it does. We will not clean a bin until 8am on a Saturday, and rest assured we will never clean on a Sunday!

What happens if my clean falls in a Bank Holiday week? 
As you know the refuse is normally collected by the council a day later. We will come on our normal day and any bins missed will be cleaned the following morning. Eg Your normal collection day is a Tuesday, we will clean your bins on Tuesday. Any that we dont clean, will be cleaned on Wednesday morning.

When is payment due?
Payment is due as soon as the first clean has taken place. Please use the FREEPOST envelope provided to send a cheque, or pay online using the bank details on the envelope.

How many cleans will I receive a year?
Your bin will be cleaned every 4 weeks so you will receive 13 cleans per annum.

Why does my bin need cleaning?
Because over time your bins will collect dirt and residues which emit offensive smells and harbour harmful germs.

Who will clean my bin?
One of our highly trained, environmentally conscious operators.

What happens to my bin once it's been cleaned?
After cleaning, your wheeled bins will be relocated to its specified location.

How will I know that my bin's been cleaned?
It will smell fresh, look clean and  it will have been replaced to your specified location.

How do I pay?
You can pay by telephone banking, internet banking, cheque or cash.

Do I need to be there while my bin is being cleaned?
No you don't just make sure your bin is left somewhere that we can see it, and we shall put it back where it belongs once clean.

What happens if the council have not emptied my bin?
Please contact us so we can ammend your customer record.

How do I know how many times my bin has been cleaned?

We keep detailed computerised records of  the amount of cleans used , if you have a query at any time please email or call us and we will be only to glad to give you that information.

I've come home and my bin hasn't been cleaned?

Of course we will always endeavour to clean your bin on the day stated. However, if for any reason the bin has not been emptied, you have placed more rubbish in the bin or the bin was not available that does make our job a little difficult. We will put a card through your door to say that we called, but we could not clean the bin. Please contact us and we will discuss other arrangements with you.

I've seen on your leaflet the Peace Hospice logo, what does this mean?
We have a commercial agreement with the Peace Hospice and make quarterly donations to this valuable charity from our profits.
